What is the Princeton Land Trust?
Princeton Land trust (PLT) is a privately operated non-profit land trust guided by thirteen trustees, all of whom are residents of or land owners in Princeton Massachusetts. PLT has tax exempt status under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

What is the purpose of Princeton Land Trust?
We are dedicated to preserving, free from development, parcels of land (forest, farmland, scenic lands, special wildlife habitats) and water bodies, which contribute to the beauty and rural atmosphere of Princeton.

How does PLT work?
We obtain ownership of property by accepting donations from land owners.  We can also accept and maintain conservation easements for permanent land protection.

Current tax laws provide incentives which make it advantageous, in many instances, for land owners to give or sell their property to a tax exempt land trust.
